The latest models of the BMW 5 series and MINI Countryman are to be unveiled in the 900 year old nave of Peterborough Cathedral on Thursday 9th February 2017.
At 6.30pm Sycamore Peterborough Ltd will host an event to celebrate the two new vehicles.
Two examples of each car will be on display in the Cathedral for the evening, having been wheeled in through the huge medieval South Portico doors earlier in the day.
Prior to the new models being revealed, guests will be able to enjoy a musical entertainment from the Peterborough Cathedral Choir. They will also have the opportunity to look around the Cathedral, where tour guides will be on hand to answer questions. A select number, with strong legs and a head for heights, can book into a Rooftop Tour, taking the stairs right up to the Cathedral tower where they can take in spectacular views of the city.
Carl Morris, Head of Business at Sycamore Peterborough Ltd, said:
“We feel privileged to be able to use Peterborough Cathedral for the launch. Combining the historical architecture of the Cathedral with the modern architecture of our brands will be an event in itself. A beautiful venue such as the Cathedral seems to be the only place to reveal our new products.”
Canon Jonathan Baker, Acting Dean of Peterborough, said:
“Peterborough Cathedral has always been a place where people have come to celebrate and we are delighted to welcome Sycamore Peterborough Ltd and their clients for this special occasion. We hope to share something of the magnificence of the Cathedral and its heritage with them whilst they are here and wish them a very successful evening.”
Guests will be able to hear more about the cars from expert speakers, as well as have a detailed look at them and book a test drive. In addition, Estée Lauder will be offering a beauty products stand and there will be the opportunity to enter a prize draw to win a BMW i8 for a weekend.
Entry is by prior registration only. Anyone who would like to attend is invited to register at: http://www.registerbmw.co.uk/sycamorebmw/ or call 01733 707070.
