Governance &
Diocese
Peterborough Cathedral’s governance is guided by the Cathedrals Measure 1999, with a Vision and Values statement published in July 2019.
Effective governance is crucial for an institution of this scale, encompassing staff, numerous volunteers, and extensive outreach across the diocese.
Recent Church of England legislation has placed the Cathedral under the oversight of the Charity Commission, increasing its public accountability.
This shift allows for greater transparency and invites public feedback on the Cathedral’s new constitution and statutes. All related documents are available for review, and comments or questions from the public are welcomed.
Integrity is a core value of the Cathedral, emphasizing the importance of accountability to the community it serves.
