Peterborough Cathedral depends on a dedicated team of over 300 volunteers to support its daily operations, ensuring the Cathedral remains open and welcoming to worshippers and visitors.
Volunteers from all backgrounds, experiences, and age groups are encouraged to join, as long as they respect the Cathedral’s values.

Summer Volunteering
We’re looking for friendly, enthusiastic volunteers to help support the exhibitions in our exciting Spring/Summer programme at Peterborough Cathedral.
If you enjoy meeting people, have a few hours to spare, or are looking to gain valuable work experience in a heritage and cultural setting, we’d love to hear from you.
As an exhibition volunteer you’ll help welcome visitors, share information about the displays, check tickets and help create a warm and engaging experience for everyone who visits the Cathedral. There are various roles available including working in our shop.

Corporate Volunteering
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Peterborough Cathedral. This page tells you more about opportunities for companies and organisations to get involved.
There are so many ways in which your team and business can support the work of the Cathedral. We are based in beautiful grounds for those who wish to spend some time in the great outdoors with our gardening team, or perhaps you wish to spend some time supporting our events team at one of our exciting events.
