Upper Levels & Tower Tour
Beginning at Tribune Gallery level you will see archaeological artefacts, get up close to medieval graffiti and spectacular stained glass. Climb further into the hidden roof spaces, crawl through ‘Alice in Wonderland’ style doors and navigate the central tower both inside and out. Listen as the guides explain how the tower nearly collapsed and how it was saved by Victorian innovation. Finally, walk along the Nave roof into the bell tower to see a 1000- yr-old building machine. Finally, you will complete the tour inside the iconic west front of the Cathedral.
