Peterborough Cathedral’s choir is more than music. It is a living, breathing part of our city, reaching schools, churches, concerts, and community spaces across Peterborough and the surrounding area. It brings young voices together, builds confidence, and keeps a centuries‑old tradition alive for future generations.

The Cathedral is at the heart of our city and inspiring cathedral music is its lifeblood. It moves and uplifts people of all faiths and none. But without support, this vital work is at risk.

This is where you come in.

Peterborough Cathedral Choir sings at around 350 services every year, including weekday Evensong, major festivals such as Christmas and Easter, civic occasions, and concerts. The choir also represents the Cathedral through recordings and international tours, sharing Peterborough’s musical heritage far beyond our city.

We want and urgently need to do more. We believe Peterborough Cathedral can lead the way for cities like ours, showing what a vibrant, inclusive and outward‑looking choral community can achieve. We cannot do this without financial support from people who care about music, opportunity, and culture.

The annual cost of supporting a single chorister is £3,000. Through regular monthly sponsorship, donors play a crucial role in keeping chorister places free, accessible, and open to talented young people from all backgrounds. Your sponsorship directly supports:

• Specialist singing lessons and musical training
• Music purchase and performance materials
• Instrument care and maintenance
• Choir robes and essential equipment
• Educational support for choristers at The King’s School

This funding is vital. Without it, opportunities for young choristers, and the future strength of our choral tradition are under threat.
