To celebrate National Gardening Week, Peterborough Cathedral will be offering a brand-new gardening workshop on Tuesday 2nd May.
Under the expert guidance of a member of the Cathedral Gardening Team, you will learn about what it takes to manage a heritage garden, the fundamentals of softwood cuttings as well as mastering the art of preparation, propagation and potting.
They will also lead you on a tour of the Cathedral gardens, where there has been much new planting in recent months. Here you will gather your own materials, before putting your new skills into practice and ask any questions as you go along. You will leave the course with up to six cuttings to take home and add a piece of the Cathedral to your own garden!
The course is aimed at beginner gardeners and does not require any previous knowledge. Equipment is provided; however, participants MUST bring their own gloves. Participants will meet at the Welcome Desk just inside the Cathedral entrance at 10.30am. For more information and booking please see the event page on our website.
