Filming Locations

Some locations at Peterborough Cathedral

The Cathedral is an adaptable and unique venue for filming, photography or recording. As one of the finest Norman Cathedrals in Europe the Cathedral and its Precincts can offer architecture from the medieval and 16th century periods for a variety of scenes.

A great location

Less than a 45 minute train ride from London, and only an hour’s drive from Stanstead airport, Peterborough is easily accessible for large crews, and the Cathedral can offer facilities to make the days run as smoothly and efficiently as possible.

Previously the Cathedral and its grounds have been used for a selection of productions such as:

  • The Barchester Chronicles

  • Six Wives with Lucy Worsley

  • Saints and Sinners: Britain’s Millennium of Monasteries

  • Henry and Anne: The Lovers Who Changed History

  • Fred Dibnah’s Building of Britain

  • Long Lost Family

  • BBC Radio 3 Live Broadcast of Choral Evensong

  • Christmas in Peterborough 2008 – Live Christmas Day Broadcast for BBC

  • Bargain Hunt

  • Flog It

  • House Hunters International
