The Beginning - joining instructions
Ticket holders, we look forward to welcoming you to The Beginning, the sound and light show by Luxmuralis at Peterborough Cathedral, 23rd - 26th November 2022.
Before the day, it is essential to take a moment to watch our video, take a look at the map and/or read the written instructions below. There is a one-way system in place so check the details then you'll know where to arrive and where you will leave.

The show will go ahead whatever the weather, so please dress accordingly. You will view the show outside for around 20 minutes before Stewards show you into the Cathedral.

The only entrance is at the Norman Arch on Cathedral Square, between Starbucks and the Nat West Bank. Please note, you will not be able to exit this way.

Please arrive 15 minutes before the entry time shown on your ticket. It may not be possible to admit latecomers.

Download your ticket so that you have the QR code ready to show on our phone or as a print-out. To do this, click on the 'Download e-ticket' button in your email from Ticket Source.

Once in the Cathedral you can spend as long as you wish enjoying the stunning light and sound show.

Hot and cold drinks will be on sale, you can light a candle and visit the Cathedral shop, which has some lovely Christmas items in stock.

Toilets are located just outside the South Transept door so you will be able to use these once inside the Cathedral. Ask a Steward if you are unsure where this is. There are no toilets at the Norman Arch as you enter.

The exit is via the South Transept, then out of the Precincts via the Gravel Walk gate, which joins Bishop's Road (see plan above). If you would like to exit via the Wheel Yard gate, please ask a Steward who will direct you. There is no exit via the Norman Arch.
