Peterborough Cathedral’s popular indoor Christmas Craft and Gift Market is taking place on Friday 18th November and Saturday 19th November this year.
Set inside the beautiful Cathedral building, it is an inspiring space in which to do your Christmas shopping and offers a wonderful selection of gifts and crafts from local businesses.
This year the market has more stalls than ever, with handcrafted jewellery, homewares, textiles, artisan food items and much more. The Market is open on Friday 18th November from 1.00pm until 9.00pm and on Saturday 20th November from 10.00am until 4.00pm.
The Friday evening coincides with the Christmas Lights Switch-On in the city centre, so it’s a great opportunity to pop in after the lights go up and see what the stalls in the Cathedral have to offer.
Amongst the unique range of items on sale will be hand crafted jewellery, glassware, woodcrafts, handbound leather notebooks, vegan bath bombs, artisan oils and spices; not to mention honey, cupcakes and fudge!
The market stalls will be spread over a wide area within the Cathedral to allow plenty of room to shop without jostling with a crowd. There will also be a one-way system in place and entry times will be staggered to avoid over-crowding at busy times. The Cathedral has good level access, so is suitable for anyone shopping with a pushchair or a wheelchair.
Shoppers' tickets
Shoppers are asked to book a timed entry ticket in advance to minimise queueing. Customers can then spend as long as they like at the market with no fixed time to finish their shopping, except at closing time.
Tickets are £2 per person, with under 16s free of charge (booking still required). They can be booked via www.ticketsource.co.uk/Peterborough-Cathedral-Events (scroll to 18 & 19 November). Any remaining tickets will be sold on the door.
